Single Sourced Gems was founded with a simple but powerful idea: that a gemstone should be as true as the story it carries. Our journey didn’t begin in an office, but in the wild riverbeds and mountain ranges of Southeast Asia, where nature quietly hides her rarest treasures.

Our story starts at the Lost Two Kilo Mine, a small, artisanal mining site in the Kingdom of Thailand. This is not a mechanized operation. There are no drills, no dynamite only local miners using traditional alluvial techniques, gently extracting gemstone rough from ancient river gravels. It's a practice rooted in patience, deep knowledge of the land, and respect for natural cycles.

Unlike conventional gemstone sellers, we don’t work through layers of middlemen. We are there on the ground, building direct relationships with miners and cutters. This hands-on approach ensures traceability, ethical sourcing, and fair compensation at every stage of the supply chain.

Every gem we offer is untreated, unheated, and unaltered exactly as it was formed by the earth.

Once mined, the rough gemstones are entrusted to legacy artisan families generational cutters and polishers who possess centuries-old proprietary knowledge. Each stone is shaped, one facet at a time, using hand-held tools and traditional methods. There are no mass-cutting machines. No shortcuts. Just precision, care, and a deep respect for the material.

We work primarily with Black Spinel, a stone known not only for its lustrous, mirror-like surface, but for its rarity and durability. In its purest form, it rivals the brilliance of precious stones but what makes it truly special is how uncompromisingly natural it remains in our hands.
